Orlando International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower
Structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection of the 325 foot high air traffic control tower at the Orlando International Airport. Upon completion it was the tallest air traffic control tower in the United States.
This project involved renovating the vehicle access doors in the Vertical Assembly Building in two High Bays, the South Transfer Aisle Door and the North Transfer Aisle Door. More specifically, the scope was to remove, lead abate, coat, rework mechanical components, replace siding and reinstall a total of 24 vehicle access doors ranging in size up to 40’ x 112’ and weighting up to 160,000 pounds each.
Fabrication and erection of approximately 430 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel used in the construction of Hogwart’s Castle and Hogsmeade Village – Landmark attractions of the Harry Potter universe.
Amway Events Center Parking Garage
8-level parking garage to serve the Orlando Magic’s new arena. Met-Con fabricated and erected the miscellaneous and structural steel as well as installed the architectural aluminum cladding.
