Project: Orlando International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower

Complete: February 2002
Description: Structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection of the 325 foot high air traffic control tower at the Orlando International Airport. Upon completion it was the tallest air traffic control tower in the United States.

Project: Airside 1

Customer: Hensel Phelps / Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Complete: Jan ‘10 Description: An enhancement to the Airside which was originally built in the early 80’s. Enlargement of the central hub area to accept additional Airport tenant vendors – added a 80ft+ diameter skylight with AESS tubular structural steel – added smaller skylights throughout the airside wings which required structural support. Work at airside 1 was made extremely difficult due to the fact that previous additions had been made with no records of shop drawings or as-builts.
